Trying to combine the names Mary (sometimes she spells it Merry) and Annette for a girls name:

AnnMarie
MaryAnne
Mariette
Mariana
Merrianne


Any others? It's just one idea. I think they sound a little heinous, to be frankly honest with you, but if we have a boy he'll be John Michael after his Grandfathers, and it seems only right to name a girl after her Grandmothers. Also, we may just use the Mary/Annette combination for a middle name. We like Katherine, Kara, Daphne and Thea for girls first names. Katherine Mariette? Kara AnnMarie?

Any suggestions at all? The only sort of first names that I don't like for girls are surnames... with the exception of Kennedy. For some reason I really do like that one.

Oh, and the last name is Schropp, which is perfectly horrible, and such a killer on SO MANY name we like (like Shaye for example).

I think Mariana is an absolutely lovely name. And the family commection makes it even nicer. Katherine Mariana is pretty; Thea Mariana is also pretty IMO. Mariana is long, so a short first name would be nice. How about Kate Mariana? Or Kate Marianne, even? Kate Marianne is stunning in my opinion. Pretty names all of them, and I like the sound of Kate with your last name--it's solid and strong and just lovely.
