I'm watching this show about the first year of a set of quintuplets on TLC. (OMG, they are the cutest things ever!)

But their names...WHAT IS WRONG WITH NORMAL NAMES? I'm sick of people substituting Ks and Ys for everything!

Drayden Karter
Layne Mykel
Kieran Skye (EDIT: She pronounces Kieran as key AIR in.)
Landyn Konnor
Irelyn Kadyn

Pete and Jenny are the parents.

OMG I am so sick of that, too, haha. Lane, Kieran (um...isn't that a BOY'S NAME??), and Landon wouldn't be bad if they were spelled correctly. Kadyn/Caden/Kayden, Drayden/Draden, and Irelyn/Ireland are awful names no matter how they are spelled.

Oh lord, I threw up a little in my mouth. I may be watching a special on Jeffrey Dahmer, but it was because of these names.

Why is Kieran a girl? Why are Layne and Landyn siblings? What's with Karter, Konnor, and Kadyn as middle names? *barf*

So, what would you name these poor babies instead?

I'd choose anything non-trendy and doesn't specify the year they were born. Definitely classic names that they can grow into.

I could never take them seriously as adults with those names. :(

I'd like Lane and Landon spelled correctly. I like Kieran Skye, and how it flows. Irelyn (*shudder*) Kadyn doesn't flow...at all.

I love a lot of the names but.. not like that. Landon especially..(since it will be my babes name if hes a he :P) and Lane. And Kieran. And Ireland. And Conner. And Carter. And Mike. GAH. I love them all.. but not with those spellings. =(

AHH! I so agree!! I was just saying to my friend that John and Kate did such a better job naming the kids. And my boyfriend and I agree with your assessment of John and Kate. Did you see when she made the kids put their shoes on to walk on the hotel floor?

As a Kate (well, Kayt, but still), I am almost ashamed to share a name with her. She's a freaking crazy. Jon is a saint for dealing with her and her extra large bucket of crazy. I mean, I have a extra large bucket of crazy too, but not like her!

And while I hate how Jon and Kate spelled Aayden (WTF?) I love Cara, Hannah, Leah, and Joel. So cute!

They didn't spell Aiden like that. They spell it like this: Aaden. I prefer Aiden personally. Aayden would have been really wacked out, I agree.

I still like Kate even though she does have, as you say, an extra large bucket of crazy. I can't imagine having such a normal family life with that many children and that many MULTIPLES specifically. Not to mention the fact that the entire nation is watching you raise your children.

I think the Duggars do a good job. Sure they've got a buttload of kids, and the other kids tend to help a LOT more than normal kids would, but they seem like very polite, well-behaved children. Much better than a lot of other kids these days.
