She confirmed that it was her given name, and that it came from her Mom being drunk on it when she got pregnant.

Did she seem particularly embarrassed or annoyed by the meaning behind her name, or having to explain it? I know I would be! In fact, if I were here, I would have had my name legally changed long before I was old enough to hold down a job! But that is just me...

Thats....interesting. We used to joke that my sister should be named Margarita....but it was a joke. I have a friend named Brandy but she was named after the song.
