What do you think of the name Denver? For a boy. I was thinking of names that sound like mine (Ember), and I was going through the alphabet (I obviously have no life), and I got to Dember, and I was like, Ohh! Denver. I almost forgot it was used as a name.

WDYT? I think I like it.

i've never met anyone with the name, but saying out loud here... i really don't mind it.

I LOVE it. It's on my favorites list... but I probably would only really use it as a middle name.

It's on my short list but is most likely going to be a mn. Honestly, I very rarely get good feedback on it in naming communities, but I don't care. As a native Coloradoan it's a special name to me personally.

I have one friend who has a brother named Denver, so I have seen it used before too. (I met her long after adding the name to my list, so it's not after him at all.)

Did you get this from that band show on Fox? I think its not that bad, but I wouldn't use it.

I like it better on a girl a la Beloved by Toni Morrison, but its not something I'd actually use.

I think it's alright.
It makes me think of the song The Salesman, Denver Max by the Blood Brothers.
"My name is Denver Max & I eat heart attacks..."

haha :)

I like it. I work at an insurance agency, and we have a client named Denver. He's an older man, and a real sweetheart.

I know a boy named Denver. He's the biggest pothead I've ever met.

Yaaaaay for personal connotations! Haha.

I kind of like it!
Very masculine.

I'm in England and all i could think of when i read that is the MTV show Real World: Denver lol.
That said, i don't like it as a name really..I'm not sure why.

I don't like it. As soon as I see it on a person, I always get the urge to sing the theme song to "Denver the Last Dinosaur" (he's my friend, and a whole lot more--and now I'm wondering just what the hell they meant by that). Since I am probably the only person on the planet with clear memories of that show, I'm sure there is no danger of this situation recurring.

I lived in Colorado for a few years, and my first mental image when someone says "Denver" is a bronco. Then, a rabid football fan.

If I didn't have these connotations, I think...I'd kind of like it. It's much better than Denford, a name belonging to a once-removed uncle of mine.
