So, I'm trying to name a fictional character. The mother would be young and single, and likely to use trendy/kree8tiv/eweneek names. So, when commenting keep that in mind and don't give the usual "It's too trendy/kre8tv/made-up" comments. That's what I'm going for.

So far I've come up with:

Girl
Heaven Leigh (nn Healeigh, pn like Hailey)
Bayleigh *needs a middle name*

Boy
Haven Lee

Any other thoughts or suggestions?

Also, on a non-related note...a question I was thinking of today. Do you prefer Hailey or Hallie? (Just to be clear, I'm not asking about spelling, because I know they are different names and pronounced differently. I'm wondering about which actual name you prefer)

One last thing...how do YOU pronounce 'Lei'. I've seen people say that a name like Hailei couldn't be the name as Hayley, because it would be Hay-LAY. Personally, I pronounce 'Lei' as LEE. The exception being with Princess Leia...and had I see the name before I heard it, I'd pronounce that as LEE-ah. To me LAY-ah would be spelled Laia. Am I 'wrong' in thinking that way?

I would probably pronounced lei as LAY. So Haylei would be...hay-lay. lol.

I like both Hailey and Halle. I'm not sure which one I prefer. Maybe Halle but only by a little tiny bit.

Healeigh and Bayleigh..would you be using both these names in your story or are you just trying to find the right name for ONE kid.

Anyway, what about Brook Lynn..that seems to be popular nowadays. lol.

Brook Lynn
Jewel Leigh

Aidan
Jayden
Kaden
Brayden
any of the -en names lol

i prefer Hailey over Hallie, but i like both names a lot.

i say "Lei" as: "lay" or "lie"- as in Lorelei (Lor-eh-lie), Leila (lay-luh), Leia (lay-uh).

I see Haven as a trendy girls' name, not a trendy boys' name. For boys, maybe Aidan, Hayden, Jayden, Brayden, Dylan, or Logan? I like Dylan Lee.

For the girl name, I like Bailey just spelled Bailey. Bayleigh is too much, even if you ARE trying to go for that in the story, haha.
