But working at a hospital gives me access to many names!

I came across some quite unusual ones today:

Kathyleen - seriously
Olimbeia - no clue how to say this
Bronten Irvin - interesting first name
Celeste - only unusual because she was in her 50s

Also, we had 2 Jaden/Jadyns admitted on the floor today, one a boy and one a girl. Both under a year old. Aye, when will it end?

What's unusual about a Celeste in her 50's?

I totally agree with you about the Jayden/Aiden/Xaden epidemic. It needs to end already!

My mother wanted to name me Celeste. My dad wouldn't let her. I can't say I'm disappointed. :P

Personally, I like the name Jayden/etc. I even don't mind Aiden. Would I use them, myself? Probably not. But, they aren't hideous or as annoying as everyone makes it out to be.

I agree with you. I've liked the name Brayden ever since I can remember. I don't find them annoying, but popularity would be the only reason I wouldn't use it because I hated it when I was in school and had alot of girls in my classes with the same name. My best friend and I even had the same name.

I don't find them hideous. I think Aidan is a perfectly acceptable name, and I even like the sound of Caden. They just become annoying because they're so overused, and most of them have little to no meaning, they're just following the 'ayden' trend. When kindergarten classes have three Aidens, two Jaydens, two Braydens, a Caden, a Hayden, and a Grayden, it just makes people sick of the names.

Olimbeia? That's hideous!
I suppose it's supposed to be pronounced like Olympia...
I don't like Jaden on a boy or girl...even if it had not been popular, I just don't like it =)
