It's with the guttural hebrew "ch" sound...the first syllable is like "cha" as in "chanukkah."

I recently remembered that I always thought of Madeline as mad-a-lyn or mad-a-line, but that I alwaysI thought of Madeleine as mad-a-layne. I have no idea why.
