I know one of these perhaps may cause a snark, but I think it's a cute name and no different than names of the Puritan era...anyway on with the poll!

[Poll #618977]

Names from the Puritan era were virtues. Envy is a vice. There is a difference.

Faith, Hope, Charity, Temperance = good things, therefore potentially good, or at least understandable, names.

However, Envy, much like Gluttony or Sloth, is not a name, but a vice. Sorry.

Humility- The quality or condition of being humble.
A bad thing?

Anyway. I voted for Tatiana Sophie because it contains two actual names. I like Liliana, but unless Lennon is a family name, skip it. Rosalind is also very lovely.

Humility and humiliation are two different concepts.

Like slysoprano said, humility is a virtue. It's the opposite of pride/arrogance.

But your mind's eye is not the same as the rest of the world. The rest of the world sees the difference. I don't mean to be snarky, I'm just trying to be blunt.

Yes, but I don't dig combining two extremely divergant name together like that. I doubt Chaya would be culturally justified.

I said "I doubt", which means I don't really know or care if the OP is jewish, it just seems to be very trendy lately to use Hebrew and jewish names where there is not a culutural tie. Madeleine is about as french as you can get in my opinion. Not just in origin, but it has cultural and pop culture ties that link it to france. Just my opinion, which is what I assumed she was asking for by posting in a name community.

"People use many other cultures' names (Ireland in particular lately) without any ties to that culture."

I hate that too. :)
