Someone made a post recently about guilty pleasure names that we know we could never use. Often, it seemed, a lot of those names have been media based. I'll admit that the first name that popped to mind for me was Wedge. What can I say, I'm a huge Star Wars geek.

So, for fun, I made up a list of some of the names used throughout the Star Wars series and expanded universe. No hyphenated names or really abnormal ones (Yoda anyone?). Just names that are used that actually sound like they could be names. A few of them actually are commonly used names.

The best thing about the character is that it's from one of the video games and the player can chose whether or not they want the character to be male of female. XD

I've always liked the sound of Anakin, but (a) I don't like it enough to use it and (b) I'm not enough of a Star Wars geek to want my kid to share a name with Darth Vader, haha. I mean, I've seen the original trilogy, but I think the new ones suck, so I've avoided them at all costs.

I saw "Mace" on there, and thought perhaps you were referring to the Ewok Adventure, but then you don't have his sister listed! Her name is Cindel, which I actually think is quite pretty but would *never* use.

Mace is like the single most used name in Star Wars. I mean, in a series that usually doesn't double up on names there are three characters named Mace and two of them are named Mace Windu.

Derek, Dexter, Gavin, Kieran, Luke, Max, Owen, Tycho, Wes, Allana, Alora, Bhindi, Caryn, Jocasta are the only ones I think that people should consider at all. The others are horrid for a child.
