I'm going to a summer program this year and I'm thinking of trying on a nickname of some kind while I'm there. I'd like it to be kind of plausible, but maybe not.

My name's Laurah. What nicknames can you think of for that?

Laurah really only has Lauri or Laur (like on the Weekenders!).

I have a friend named Laura who went by Lola most of her life, since she was little. Forcing nicknames isn't that easy. People call you what they want.
My name is Courtney and I get Court, Coco, Coney, Courts (cringe). My sister, Rachel, get Rachie and Rach a lot which she hates. I call her Ray.

Lola and Coco are cute. The only Courtney I know is male, though; I don't think he'd appreciate Coco. He's Court.

Basically Laurie or Lore are the only ones that immediately come to me. I could make the arguement for Roxy based on the last part of your name.

why do I always come across odd spellings of laura!

My first best friend is a Lorah and we call her Lo. I guess it's because of the spelling.. but it's still pronounced Laura.
My second bestfriend is also called Laura and we call her Lashes.. not sure why..

That sounds so high schooly.. 'first and second best friend' haha.. didnt mean it like that.

I know a Laura who sometimes goes by Ra, so you could be Rah!
I am Lauren and sometimes get called Loz. Used to get called Laurie.
