I'm procrastinating haha. This is a list of babies that we're born to friends or family in the last year as well as one that is still waiting to be born. Middle names included if I can remember them.

Gretel Elizabeth (siblings: Celia, 5 and Scarlet, 3)

Jocelyn Elizabeth (Sibling: Mira, 3)

I personally don't like the names Wyatt, Kiara, or McKenzie. Gretel's mom got a lot of flack for the name. "Like Hansel and Gretel?" and I admit I asked that too lol but its grown on me.

the only name i really like is wyatt. gretel is terrible, poor thing, she is going to get the "wheres hansel?" comments her entire life. my best friend growing up was named barbie and although we are in our 30s now, she STILL get the ken comments. gretels sisters have very fairy-tale-esque sounding names too. hmmm.

i dont like shayla, kiara or jocelyn at all really. i mean theyre not horrible. well, shayla is.

lol IA about Gretel it was a shock for sure (we thought her mother was joking until the baby was actually born) I never thought of Celia and Scarlet as being particularly fairy-tale-esque but now that you mention it, I think you're right.

I'm kinda blah on Shayla-- dont love it or hate it.

I like Mila but not Brooke so much. Benjamin is blah to me as well :P

I love Isabel and Maisie. I've known too many Ambers and Ava is extremely popular but still lovely. Riley is cute but not my style.

I absolutely LOVE Wyatt. One of my favorite boys names. But my husband is resisting it because it's his step-father's middle name, and even though he gets along great with him, he feels like it would look like we were naming a kid after his step-dad, and his dad would get offended. I like Kiara also, not so crazy about any of the others.

The only 2 babies born around me recently are 2 boys, Mason and Vincent. Love Vincent, kinda over Mason.

I love Celia and Gretel, actually. Unfortunately would never use Gretel because of the Hansel jokes that are sure to follow, and Greta and Gretchen just don't appeal to me as alternatives.

Wyatt is okay.. not my style, but I don't think it's bad. Besides the Hansel thing, I just don't think Gretel ages well. I can picture it on a toddler/young girl & an older woman, but not an adult; I'm not sure why. Shayla & Kiara I really don't like.

Ugh, I strongly dislike Gretel. Awful name, IMO, while Celia & Scarlet are great =)
Shayla makes me think of Sex and the City and Wyatt of Charmed...wow, tv geek! =P

My friend's boyfriend's nephew is named Wyatt James, so I have a little bit of a soft spot for it since he's ADORABLE. But I must admit, I was like "...huh?" for about three weeks after he was born. After almost three years, it's grown on me a bit.

I love Jocelyn Elizabeth and Jocelyn & Mira are such a cute sib-set. I also really like Gretel Elizabeth and Celia, Scarlet, and Gretel are such cute names. I think I like Greta or Gretchen more, but Gretel is cute, too.

Shayla and Kiara Mckenzie are way too trendy for me.

Oh! I like Gretel. I think it is cute, and I like her sister's names ok as well. Wyatt James is also nice, imo.

Only baby born around me was Ada. Can't remember the middle name BUT if it was a boy, they were going to name the baby Tyree. Tyree was a terrible name, especially because they have a strange short last name.

Wyatt James - I think it's a cute name, although I wouldn't want to use it.

Gretel Elizabeth (siblings: Celia, 5 and Scarlet, 3) - I love Greta, and Gretel is cute...but I would worry about the associations too much. I have a friend named Cecilia who goes by Celia. I always liked it. I like Scarlet too, but spelt Scarlett.

Shayla - My best friend when I was a kid was named Shayla. I always really liked it. I don't see it as trendy at all, because I associate it with her.

Kiara Mckenzie - Don't like the spelling of Kiara (prefer Keira, but I'm honestly not the hugest fan of the name anyway). I actually really like the name McKenzie, but I could never use it because of the trendiness of it.

Jocelyn Elizabeth (Sibling: Mira, 3) - I LOVE Jocelyn. Mira is pretty too.

The babies that have been born around me this year (that I can remember) are Ella (cousin's baby), Samira (friend's cousin's baby), and Samantha (housekeeper's baby). Some older babies in my family (born last year) are Shane and Noah.
