What do you think about the name River (probably for a middle name) for either a girl or a boy?
I personally love it more for a boy's middle name with a really masculine first name, but I think its nice for both sexes.

I'd say it was feminine. It's very pretty; I wouldn't use it for a first name, but it'd make a lovely middle one IMO.

Have done for years, it's my most consistent fave boys name. Would use it as a fn, with a traditional/masculine mn (my top picks are Adam or Thomas).
It's wonderful as a mn too.

Don't think it's that feminine, but guess it could work on a girl.

Rio is sweet too, would make a nice nickname.

I really love the name River. :) my husband and I really like it for a boys name..and if we have two boys that will be the second boys name. :)

I also like it for a girls middle name. I knew a girl I went to school with and her name was Anita River. I always thought it was pretty.
