I don't like it only because of the strong connection to the song. I think it's pretty otherwise, and really like Ava, but I have a hard time separating it.
i think its really pretty. but every time i said it, i would want to break out in song, or at least say maria after it. but i went to catholic school for nine years, so maybe thats just me. other than that, its pretty, but sounds...unfinished.
I kinda like it! Who cares about the connection to the song, it's a pretty song. I'm an atheist, and I don't care about the song connection, so I dunno.
btw, if you're thinking of the latin word 'ave', as in the song 'ave maria', then it doesn't have any mark on it ;) and then again, it's a salutation in latin, so technically it would be like naming your kid 'hello' :P
I'd spell it with the accent, but I took French for a lot of years and that's how it would be spelled in French if it were a French name. Which it's not.
I'm not quite sure it's a name at all. It's quite pretty sounding and looking, but I think I'd keep it a guilty pleasure.
