my stepmom is pregnant & my dad is insisting on naming my little unborn halfbrother BRAXTON. now, seriously, i despise this name. i really cannot stand it at all, neither can my stepmom (thankfully) soooo we're back to the drawing board.

the only name that the two can SORT of agree on is THEO. and i guess i'm fine with that -- especially because of the dr. seuss connotations.

but my number one pick is still julian. i really love the name, no one else likes it though so i'm not going to bother.

which do you prefer?

braxton or theo?

Theo definetly. Theo is such a cute name, it will work well as he grown up. I know some older Theos.
Braxton isnt even a proper name! It reminds me of Braxton hicks. Once your stepmum has gone through labour pains she wont want to be reminded of it, by naming the baby after practice contractions!

LOL that's the same thing I thought. :P
Nothing like having a child and being reminded of false labor.

Theo is definetly better :)

Theo Braxton is a nice enough combo, maybe they could use that as a compromise.

Julian is a great name too, maybe you can use that for your own son some day.

Theo is 1000x better imo. For one I don't care for that harsh sound to Braxton at all, not to mention the false labor pains association! I don't see it as appealing as a name at all!

I'd have to say Braxton. I'm not a fan, but I really dislike the name Theo.
Of course, I've always hated the Huxtables and The Cosby Show in general. That could be why.
Julian is a beautiful name, I hope you get to use it someday.

Theo but I think it should be Theodore with the nickname Theo. I'm biased, though, b/c that's my grandpa's name and my brother's middle name.

Theo. Braxton sounds okay if you put it with Theo.
Have they considered Brandon? Sort of similar to Braxton.

I don't really like Braxton at all, due to Braxton Hicks (not sure if they're spelled the same way, though).
And Theo is okay, I guess. Not many nicknames for it, however.

I hate both but I'd go with Braxton since I hate Theo more.
