Date: 2007-12-03 02:03 am (UTC)My mom's name is Sharon Elaine and I think it's really pretty.
I hate when siblings' names rhyme. For example, I have the names Claire, Blair, and Adair on my list, but I'd never use more than one of them because they rhyme. I don't mind when they start with the same letter if they don't sound alike (like Linda and Luke vs Ashley and Allie).
If I were a boy, I would have been Brian Neil. I'd use Brian, but not with Neil because I hate when middle names start with the same letter the first name ends with.

Date: 2007-12-03 02:03 am (UTC)my parents' names are both kinda eh. I wouldn't say I dislike them, but I'm not particularly fond of them either.

Date: 2007-12-03 02:31 am (UTC)2. My mother's given name is a total Southern name: Margo Lee. My dad's name is Brett Alan. I don't like either name, but I think Brett Alan is much better, just because it's a real name instead of a nickname. My grandmother's name was Margaret Isabella. I love her name!
3. I know a family with kids named Zoe, Noah, and Micah. I think Micah and Noah are too close, and Zoe and Noah are too close. Zoe and Micah are okay, but Noah is too similar to both for me.
4. My parents didn't really have boy name picked out. My mother was sure from the moment of conception that I was a girl. My dad wanted to name me William Alan, after his dad and himself. I like William, and I like Alan, but I don't like them together. Theodore Alan and William Dane are on my list instead.

Date: 2007-12-03 06:19 am (UTC)My parents are Laurie Sue and Wayne Arnold. I don't love either of them, but I don't hate them either.
I probably would have been James Michael, as a boy. That was the name my grandparents wanted to use, but they ended up with four girls. My mother would have used it, but she ended up with my sister and me! I would consider it as a double middle name, but I don't really like James as a first name.

Date: 2007-12-03 10:46 am (UTC)Sage, alas, is on the up and up.
They're both nmsaa but I like my dad's name [Philip David] better, it has meaning behind it and flows well. With my mum's as a combo [Susan Ann] you kind of stutter over it, that and screaming 'I was born in 1960 to totally unimaginative parents'.
Similiar sounds; as you trip over them or confuse the names. Same letter can be similiar.
The popularity is fine, if anything that often makes the names fit together.
Nothing in common is OK, as people are individuals, but it does sound bad if one name is the odd one out.
Sure; it's great name.
My parents did use it for my brother, but that's fine by me, we're close so it would be to honour him [as a mn].

3. Draw between same letter and rhyming!
4. Joshua - no thanks!
