[identity profile] xooedenoox.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames

Hi everyone! I found this community and I thought I would join.

Anyway, my name is Eden. 20 years old and living in Central Ohio.

I have a 14 1/2 month old daughter named Cadence Reagan Bailey and she is my LIFE!

I am also currently 7 months preg. with another baby girl that is due on Jan 22.

I am thinking of naming this baby Brooklyn...but as far as a middle name goes I am clueless! So anyone have any good ideas??

If you want to see pics of me or Cadence you can check out: www.picturetrail.com/baileyeden

You should have said that to begin with! I think Brooklyn Reese sounds nice together, but they are two very trendy names - in sixty years, your daughter's name might sound to people then like Edith Ida might sound to us now. That said, though, it's a nice name.

I love the name Eden. I've also been in love with the name Cadence for years. It will for sure be my first daughter's name. Brooklyn is a cute name. I like it. I think a one syllable middle name would be good. Or maybe 3 syllable...

Good luck!

Is your last name Bailey? I thought your daughter had two middle names at first. If your last name is Bailey, then giving her the name Brooklyn would be two names that start with B and have two syllables, which I really don't care for.

I much prefer Brooke to Brooklyn anyway. What about Brooke Lyn(n)(e)??

What??

I would choose Brooke Lynn over Brooklyn any day. People usually don't go by their middle names anyway, so what I said up there about Brooklyn Bailey sounding weird because of the syllables and the B wouldn't be nearly as bad as Brooke Bailey with a Lynn in there nobody knows or cares about.

Ok, so why give her a name can can, and will be shortened to Brooke?

Just curious...you spell it "Reagan" here but "Regan" on the pic page...is it normal for you to vary the spelling of your daughter's name or...what?

I think it's a boy's name as well and I'm American. For some odd reason, I think it's ridiculously cheesy on a girl but it's one of my favorite names for a boy. Odd, huh?

I've known two girls named Brooklyn in my lifetime. One was a hooker and the other was a stripper. Perhaps it should stay a boy's name lol.

I thought it was a boys name too but only because of the Beckhams over here.
