How important is it to think of sib sets when naming a first child?

I've been thinking about that a lot lately..  and while I was pretty set on the names for my baby.. I find myself wondering if I should make changes.
I love names for children that sound good together.. not necessarily match. Sounding good together is so important to me. However, I'm pretty sure it's going to be a LONG time before I have another child.

I've already posted this.. but again:
the names I have picked out + extras:
for a girl: Gianna Leigh.    Audrey Grace.      Natalie Olivia.
for a boy: Landon Miles.   Micah Cole.    Gabriel Ezra.

Does anyone have suggestions for names that sound good with any of these? Thanks. =)

I don't really think sib sets are that important. Pick names you love and go with it. Plus, you can't predict the future...

I really like Audrey Grace. Gianna Leigh - I'm not a fan.

I think sib-sets only matter as much as you want them to matter. I mean, if you want all your kids' names to match in some way, you should probably think about that beforehand and think, "Well, I like the names Catherine, James, Michael, Elizabeth, and Riley. And Riley doesn't really fit with the others, so I should go with something that matches the other names in case I have more kids." But if you don't care whether or not your kids' names match, I don't think it matters at all.

It matters somewhat to me. My favorite girl's name is Piper, but my other favorite girl names are Juliet, Catherine, Eleanor, and Louisa and I'm not really sure they match. I'm still trying to decide if it would matter enough to me to not use Piper, or to pick other names I like for subsequent kids.

I like Audrey Grace, Natalie Olivia, and Gabriel Ezra a lot. I like Micah and Miles, but I'm not really a fan of Landon or Cole; Landon just seems kind of trendy-sounding to me and Cole seems very incomplete. I'm also not crazy about Gianna Leigh, but it's alright.

In my mind, Piper goes with your other favorite names because I know a girl named Juliet Piper. Also, they go together because they all pretty much come from the same culture/language; if you named a sib-set Juliet, Catherine, Eleanor, and Saoirse, for example, then it would be a little weird.

I agree that it's not the *worst* combination of names, but they just seem like totally different genres of names. Like Eleanor, Catherine, etc. are really classic, timeless names, while Piper is more modern and "unique" (although it is pretty high on the top 1000 list). I do like the sound of Piper and Cate, so maybe Piper and Catherine could work, but I'm not sure that all of them would work well together. I think it sounds okay with my favorite boy names -- Charlie, Huck, and Sam.

I think it is important, to an extent. I feel the same way as you about similar names that aren't matchy.

I feel like, daughter wise I have to pick my absolute favourite A name and dicard the others, because I don't want alliteration, or the possibility of three children, two A's and one another letter.

I know three sisters, Laura, Anna and Alice. I don't think it's very noticeable tbh. I didn't even realise until I wrote them down.

I hate the whole idea of 'sib sets'. It makes it sound like kids are collectables or something. I think names should go well together in the sense that it's probably not a great idea to have Jane and James, but stuff like that is pretty obvious. Similarly, I don't like matchy names for siblings. So no letter themes, or sound themes, or whatever.

I don't worry about the whole sib set thing. I just want my kids to have individual non matchy names. I have a Tristan Gwydion and a Richard Joseph. The baby on the way will be Anastasia Sophia if it's a girl... not sure on the boy name yet. I want Xavier Erik, but the hubby doesn't want it.

I personally am not a fan of sib-sets. I'd rather give my children names that I love and adore rather than one name I love and adore and the rest names that "have to match". My top four names right now are Daphne, Arielle, Kieran and Anthony - and I don't care about matching them up, I just love those names! :)

btw I think Audrey Grace and Natalie Olivia are beautiful names!

I don't care about sibsets at all. I would just make sure I didn't have horribly clashing names, with one standing out very obviously or something.

I hate matchy-matchy sibsets, especially in twins, but I like names that flow together. For example, Madison and Taylor go together but Madison, Taylor, and Juliet (in my mind) don't.

i think that twins' names should sound good together because, inevitably, they will be lumped together. Its just the way things go. I personally like matching first letters (like Lily and Lorelai) but they can't clash (like Jane and Ahlyssabethe)

Ummm... if your'e that stuck on sib sets, I think you have a pretty good one written out right there.

I think all of those names go pretty well together, so as long a you're not planning on more than 6 kids, I think you're set...
