Jolene makes me think of the song by Dolly Parton: Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, JOLE-EEEEENE, please don't take my man.

Haha, me too. I have nothing against the name though ;)
I like Joelle best, because I think the 'o' & 'elle' parts sound nice together.
Jolie immediately makes me think of Angelina Jolie, and then of the French word for 'nice'/'adorable'. To be short, it just doesn't look like a name to me.

I prefer Joelle, I don't like the J sound in english in Jolie.

Out of those, Joelle, though it makes me think of Jor-El. Then again, that's probably because I've spent the last week watching all seven seasons of Smallville, so it's kind of been on the brain...

Jolie is a last name to me, because of Angelina Jolie. And Jolene I just don't really like the sound of it.

Jolie is actually Angelina Jolie's middle name. She dropped her last name (Voight, I believe).

Jolene sounds like a redneck name, and Jolie reminds me of Angelina. I like Joelle.

What about
Josephine
Jocelyn
Joanna

I love Jocelyn. It just sounds classy to me.

I don't mind Jolie, and I do really like Joelle. It's basically just Jolene I don't like because it reminds me of the Dolly Parton song, haha.

I like Johanna, too, but I pronounce them differently. I say Joanna more like Jo-anna and Johanna more like Jo-hannah. Do you say them the same?

I don't like any of them but I picked Jolie because I dislike it the least.

I like Jolie. I'm sure I'd like the other two if I didn't have bad associations with them; in the Dolly Parton song, Jolene is a man-stealer, and there's a mean girl at my school named Joelle.

I don't know why, but the name Jolene makes me sad. It reminds me of something but I don't know why. Was she that toothless girl in Where The Heart Is? I don't know, that's what it reminds me of though.

I don't like any! Jolie makes me think of the terrible actress, and Joelle the Dolly Parton song. Jo-elle makes me think of Joel.

However, I do like Jocelyn and Josephine. :)
