I'm surprised that Meredith, Robin, and Shelley weren't in the girls' section. I know that they were popular boys' names at one time, but I know several women born before 1966 with these names - ESPECIALLY Robin and Shelley. I'm also surprised by Whitney. How old is Whitney Houston?

For sure - my mum's name is Shelley. The only reason I can think for it to be in with the boys' names, is that it's the surname spelling, as opposed to 'Shelly'.

I love the name Alexis because of some guy I know.. and it would definitely be on my favorite boys names list if it weren't such a "girly" name now. :(

And Elliott IS one of my favorite boy names.. I've never heard of a girl named Elliott.

But I'm suprised by Cameron, Dana, Mallory, Meredith, Robin, and Whitney. I know older women(may not be that old, though) with these names.. so that is definitely interesting to see.

One of my best friends GREAT grandmothers named Cameron... she may have been a rare exception.. but it definitely makes me think of it as a female name as well.

The majority of people really don't think it's horrible to give a girl an originally girl's name. I think the popularity of names such as Emma, Emily, Isabella, Sophia, etc. attest to that.

That's what I was thinking. And Colby? Blake?
