I'm not sure why, because I hadn't heard it before, but I automatically pronounced it tah-LEE-tha, before reading the comments. Do I get a prize? I like it.
hehe yes! one cookie for you :D i met one girl once with the name, and she was drop dead gorgeous. then i found out it is Aramaic, meaning "little girl." very sweet IMO.
I don't really like it because I have a difficult last name to pronounce and it's SO annoying having to tell people how to pronounce it CONSTANTLY. That, or the pause that sometimes happens right before they get to my name on a class list or something...it's a very long and awkward pause...hehe good luck with the name though!
