What good middle names go with Daphne? It's my favourite name (and thankfully, my partner loves it :P) and we're trying to make a list of middle names that could sound nice with it. I'd prefer somewhat feminine names...
Well, as stated above, Daphne Rose was the first thing that popped into my head, and it's making me want to just list more one-syllable names--Daphne Lynn, Daphne Mae, Daphne Leigh....
But I think it really depends on your last name. Daphne One-Syllable would work with just about any surname, but your last name might sound really nice with other combinations.
If you don't mind alliteration, I like Daphne Delilah.
Ah, 2 syllables. So, I'd just try to stay away from 2-syllable middle names, but even then, I'd say there are exceptions. Daphne Ellen Barker popped into my head, for example.
Funny that this name was brought up, because I was thinking about posting it as well. My stepbrother's "girlfriend" just had a baby Thanksgiving day and named her Daphne Hope. I like it.
I was almost named Daphne Jane or Daphne Paige, and I like both of those. I'm also kind of liking the aliteration of Daphne Delilah or maybe Daphne Delia/Dahlia/Diane.
SO-phie just never made sense to me at all. It sounds strange to me (too much like 'sofa' =P). Probably because I'm in Europe. I like Ismae/Ismay better, because I used to know someone called Esmée and I didn't like her...so, bad connotations I guess.
I'm in The Netherlands =)! Yes, French is pretty awesome! But I like German even more ;). Hm...come to think of it, I believe they pronounce it SO-phie in Germany, too. I'm not sure about the rest of Europe, though. In Belgium they pronounce it So-PHIE, for sure, but that's not so strange considering a part of their country is French-speaking.
Oh, I love the name Daphne! It's criminally underused, at least in the States. Daphne Jane is the first one that popped into my head. I think a one-syllable middle name would go well with Daphne.

I voted Elise but I do prefer Elyse.
I prefer Esmé- ez-may - a million times over than Ismae.
