What do you think of the name Marin? (Pronounced Mare-in) Any suggestions for a middle name? I though Elizabeth or maybe Kate?

I like it, but I spell it Maren. I prefer Marin Elizabeth to Marin Kate.

It used to be my favourite name. I kind of got over it, but I still like it.

I pronounce it muh-RIN because the only girl I know with that name pronounces it that way.
And I don't really have strong feelings about it either way.

I love it, but spelled Maren.

I know a Maren Winter, which is cute... she's named after her father, though, so I don't think you'd have any real urge to use it.

Really not a fan. It feels ugly to make my mouth fit the sound.

I really like it. I know quite a few families with it as a last name but it hasn't deterred me yet.

I agree with people who said Marin Elizabeth. I think that sounds really nice.

I like it spelled better as Maren. For awhile Elizabeth Maren was my favourite name. :-)

The place-name is muh-RIN, the people-name is MARE-in. Hence it being more often spelled Maren for people.

I like it.

I like both Marin Elizabeth and Marin Kate. Also, either the spelling you have or Maren is fine by me. I'm really pretty easy to please!

IMO, I prefer the pronunciation of muh-RIN. But that's probably because 1) it doesn't rhyme with my name then and 2) it's the original pronunciation I heard from one of my friends in France. I think the fact that MARE-in rhymes with my name is what really turns me off that pronunciation though, so that's really a personal hang-up.
