help !

ok we have sort of decided on names for the baby, but both me and my partner are still looking for something that fits, to be on the safe side we have two girls names and two boys names, in case the baby doesnt suit the first name etc.

so we want to know if u have any ideas to help :)

In traditional family style for my family ( which my BF has agreed to ) we are having three names

we definately are keeping the first names but need help with the middle names. We would like unusual but not too unusual and nothing too modern. Both of us are trying to stay away from tradition christian names not being christian ourselves. We like Older names esp. nordic, celtic and german.

here they are!

Girl 

Esmerelda ( name) D'Arcy
Aria (name) (name) ( my bf wanted illanthia but please i really dont think its a good name for a girl aiiii!)

Boy

Rowan Dante (name)
Aiden (name) (name) 

*note i know that Aiden is popular but its actually the name of a close friend who died wh was treasured very much and we wanted to honour him

I was rather put off by Aiden, but I think the story behind it is actually quite touching. Be warned, though, he will probably be one of many in his classes -- perhaps Aiden could be a middle name?

Also, Esmerelda is an awful spelling of Esmeralda. Seeing as Esmeralda is an actual word in Spanish (for emerald) it's doubly tacky to be corrupting a language and a half-way decent name. That being said, I think Esmeralda Jane D'Arcy has a nice ring to it. You could also have some fun with Aria, and give her middle names like Musetta, Carmen or Turandot. But that might be a bit too cutesy.

Aaaand one more thing. Dante is a traditional Christian name (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dante). Or, at least people will make that connection when they hear it. Personally, I think it's rather ugly as well and sounds funky with Rowan.

I didn't make the connection between Dante and Christianity and I am pretty well-versed as far the Bible goes.

Dante's Inferno? Certainly not Biblical, and Dante did have a lot of issues with the early Catholic church, but it is where most people seem to get their views of hell, even if they aren't entirely conscious of it

hey thanks for the comment! Dante was my partners choice and i thought it was unusal enough to be a good middle name:) U commented on the spelling of Esmerelda? is there another way of spelling it or another name similar to it...we both adore the name but i wasnt aware that there was another spelling of another name. we would love to hear alternatives and thank you for this infor :) very much appreciated :)

I really love Aria and Rowan, just not paired with Dante.

I'm tired of Aiden, but it's not a terrible name. Esmeralda is ok too.

I agree that Aiden as a middle name would be nice.

hey thanks for the comment! im getting a lot of people telling me Aiden is better off as a middle name but there is no name i can think of for a decent First name to go with it that my partner will accept...and the weirder the names the more he likes...i personally love william ( billy for short) but he was against that, so i tried something really weird and out there like Ville which i thought was in his league but no...so any Ideas that go with Aiden?

D'Arcy or Darcy I really can't stand, but I guess it's me.

lol theres nothing wrong with Jameson only problem is where i live a lot of kids are being named samual Jameson...or worse ( and this will really freak u out) there are 3 girls at the local primary shool called kaluha..yes after the alcohol!...bizarro!
