Okay, I'm in need of opinions....

What do you guys think of giving a kid two middle names? I'm thinking of naming a little girl Kayleighna Claire Julianne Wilson... Is it too much?

my son has 2 middle names, i think it sounds nice. I personally think that Kayleighna is a bit long, especially when she would start school and having to write it out. Kalena is about the same name i think.

Leave off the Kayleighna and it's a great name.

Agreed. Kayleighna makes me shudder.

Exactly...
It kind of hurts to look at it.

(It will also take forever to spell it out every time you give someone your name.)

I don't mind two middle names at all.. just in this case.. I think that names are too much together.

I have three myself. Sometimes I love having three beccause it makes me different from my peers. A good idea to do is just not put both on her birth certificate, but use them around her growing up, and with family and friends. That way she doesn't get bogged down by them.

However, the names you chose don't seem to flow very well. At least the Julianne portion.

I like two middle names if the combo flows well and there is significance to the names. So am tempted to do that myself (at least one mn would have family significance)
It might get complicated with forms and things though.

Do think that combo is a bit long, guess that's because Kayleighna is quite long; prefer just the simplicity of Kayleighna Claire, or Claire Julianne.

Two names isn't too much. However, Kayleighna is.

The sound of it is fine, it just looks awful. Maybe you could just spell it more simply? Kaylina or Kayleena or Kaylena or something. It's a pretty sound, it's just too much to look at and for her to write.

Also, my mother is named Mary Michele, and she has NEVER been called Mary. Her one piece of advice about naming a child is never to name him/her one thing and then use the middle name.

She's had people who never contacted her back because they couldn't find her in the phone book and other places - because she's listed under her legal name. And then there's always the problem how to sign her name on documents, that sort of thing. She has so many variations of her signature: M.M., M. Michele, Michele...it just gets really confusing.

Just something to think about.

I don't mind two middle names, but that is quite the mouthful!! If you're going to have two middle names, there shouldn't be any three syllabled names, and you have two names that have three syllables!

I think two middle names is fine, but Kayleighna is way too much on its own, IMO. I don't like "creative" spellings or really unconventional names.
It sounds nice, just looks way too cluttered to me.

i think it's fine because it's not like people will be calling her kayleighna claire julianne. i like how kayleighna sounds, but the spelling seems way too long&unnecessarily complex. other suggestions:
kalena
kaleena
kaleina
kalina
kalyna

Kayleighna? That's a little too much, especially when a little girl is just learning to write her own name. How about Kaylina? It's a very cute name, I don't think the name in itself is long, just the first name's spelling.

Kayleighna in and of itself is far too much. =\ Kalena, Kalina? And with Julianne... They are both long. It is not so bad Kalena Claire Julianne. :D

I have toyed with two middle names... John David Matthew or Eloise Mathilde Josephine. Wow. I hadn't realized how long my girl one was. Oops. I may be rethinking that one. Ha. I also know a little boy who is John David Christian.

It often seems to me that kids who have more than one middle name have parents who can't make decisions. It's one thing to have one middle name that's a family name and one middle name that's your own unique name, but having three or four names just because they sound nice is a little much.

Kayleighna sounds like a really butchered version of like, 3 or 4 names, and then with the alternate spelling..it's..ugh. Too much. Claire and Julliane are nice.

a lot of cultures have multiple first and middle names for their children.

i like the middle names, they flow..

Yeah, Claire Julianna Wilson flows well. Kayleighna is too complicated looking and used on top of the other three names makes the whole thing a mouthful, in my opinion anyways!
But as someone suggested use a more simple alternative spelling if you do use it, and maybe not use all the names together.
