Charmian Carr

There's the actress Charmian Carr who performed in the Sound of Music. What do you think of her name? I found out it came from Antony and Cleopatra by Shakespeare.

I don't like it at all.

I think it's really pretty, and also unusual without being weird. There was a Charmian a couple of grades below me in my high school.

it's an anagram of 'chairman' :P
Maybe I wouldn't mind Charmaine, but I think I'm making that one up

Charmaine is a real name

I adore Charmian Carr, but I'm not so sure I'd use that name. It does work incredibly well with her last name and is fairly original, so even though I don't personally like the name, I like her parents' (her?) use of it.

It sounds like the toilet paper, Charmin.

I used to love the name Charmaine. I don't really like the name Charmian though, the spelling looks off.
