names i heard or read today on tv:
Haylei (prn. Hay-lee)
Zoanna (prn. Zo-ah-na)
Ryon (prn like Ryan)
Amada (prn Ah-mah-dah)
Melinda (prn Muh-lyn-dah)
Shiva (prn Shee-vah)
Valene (unsure of the prn... i'm guessing Val-eh-nay?)

two sib-sets:
Tyler
Riley
Kyle
(cute, except their nn are: Ty, Ry, Ky... that's a little corny, in my opinion.)

James
Robert
Joseph
Michael

I like Melinda; that one doesn't seem at all weird to me, haha.

Tyler, Riley, and Kyle are way too late 80s/early 90s for me. Ugh.

The last four are nice, though. Nice, classic, traditional. James and Michael are two of my favorites, and while I'm not a huge fan of Robert or Joseph, they fit in well and they're good, solid names (unless you're going to pull one of those BUT THEY'RE GIRLS! DUHN DUHN DUHN things on me).

That's a different spelling for Haylei...I'm not sure if I entirely like it or not.

I like Melinda. The rest...not so much.

Haha, on that second sib set...my cousin's new baby's name is James Robert.

Ryon doesn't seem like it should be pronounced the same way as Ryan.

Amada sounds like the way a little kid would say Amanda.

I watched a movie yesterday and the girl in it was named Haylei. I thought it was kind of weird..but her mother was crazy so I sort of understood. =P

Valene might be vah-LAYN, as well. Not sure.

Haylei is the worst spelling I've seen for that name. It makes me want to say HAY-LAY instead of HAY-lee.

I agree, the first sibset's nicknames are cheesey. Why does Kyle even need a nickname? It's only one syllable to begin with. The full names are just fine, though.
