Dog names.
Nov. 13th, 2007 07:15 pmIn the random fact book I'm reading at the moment ('Everything You Didn't Need To Know About The UK') I came across lists of the top ten names for dogs (male and female) in the UK. Anyway, I just found it interesting that - with the exception of Buster - they are all "human" names, even if a lot of them are a little nicknamey.

Date: 2007-11-13 09:19 pm (UTC)For animal companions I like to use uncommon 'people' names, with some kind of meaning behind them (e.g Charlie's mn is Cash, because he's black and 'sings').
Of Charlie's friends there's a Holly, Lucy, Tess and Bonnie. I guess Harry and Josh (his 'cousins') fit the name trend too.
Incidentally a lot of those names are popular for human babies too. :)

Apart from Tess and Meg, all the female names end in a 'y' sound.
