We talk a lot about the sib-sets we know, so what are the names + middle names of YOUR own sib-set? (Or the set of names of your children?)
Any particular themes? Letters? Trends particular to the year of birth?
Names of my sib-set to start us off:
Dale Steven (1978), Brendan Charles (1983), Martyna Rozalia (me! 1987), Kirstyn Kim (1991), Zachary John (1992)
Btw, we're a blended family hence the similar ages and age gaps, therefore no particular themes I think :)

Date: 2007-11-08 03:58 pm (UTC)We're all named after people in our families. William Gregory is also my dad's name, and Margaret Mary was my mom's - that's where those two came from. Michael is from my mom's brother, and Anthony was because she'd prayed to St. Anthony during her pregnancy. Joseph is for an uncle on each side, and Carl is for an uncle on my dad's side.
Michael Anthony is with (dating? engaged to?) a girl named Jennifer Marie. They have:
Dominick Anthony ('96 - he's not technically Jen's kid, but yeah), Lilliana Rae ('03) and Scarlett Meena ('06).
They went with an "8-letter" theme. But they didn't really do it on purpose, I guess. I just pointed out when Jen was pregnant with Scarlett that the other two kids had 8-letter names, so the new one should be the same or at least not be a real short name or something. Dominick Anthony is for his father (whose full name, including Confirmation name, is Michael Anthony Dominic). Lilliana is sort of for my grandmother (Lillian), but also because Jen read it in a book somewhere. Meena was Jen's grandmother.

Date: 2007-11-08 04:46 pm (UTC)I'm Anna and my brother is Adrian. He's older, so it's normally "Adrian and Anna" but "Anna and Adrian" has an equally nice ring. I think it's a great sibling set!
We don't have middle names--we're hybrid children, hyphenated 1/2 the time and the other half with mom's maiden name as a middle name. Regardless, we have the same initials.

Date: 2007-11-08 05:19 pm (UTC)Shawn Daryl (86)
Alyssa Nicole (90)
Mikayla Michelle (92)
Daryl is for my father, and I know everyone hates Mikayla spelled that way. However, my brother and I were so young and just learning how to pronounce things and Michaela through us off, so she let us sit down with a baby book and pick the way that we thought it should be spelled. Although if I had my way (Remember I was 7) it would have been MyKayla because she was "My Kayla". Thankfully mom didn't give in.

Daniel is way older than all of us, we have different fathers and our mum had him when she was 17.

Date: 2007-11-08 06:41 pm (UTC)No theme at all, and I've always liked that because we are such diffrent people.
Clair is after my cousin. I chose Thomas myself after the tank engine (I was three, and a major fangirl lol)
My given name is a little dated with my peers [I know several namesakes, but the majority are older than me], Clare/Claire was so popular in the 80s. Richard is fairly uncommon for our age group, but classic rather than dated, and Thomas is always in style.
*not my given name [I'm not sharing that], but in terms of style that clashes just as much.

Date: 2007-11-08 09:28 pm (UTC)Annie Elaine Law ('90)
Tamsin Colleen Campbell (me, '92)
It's pretty funny, because before I was born, people would always ask, "Are you going to name the baby Evita?" There really wasn't supposed to be a pattern with Oliver and Annie; it's purely coincidental.

There isn't a theme really, at all. The only thing we have is our 10 years difference.

No real trend...I was named for a great-grandmother (both first and middle), and my sister's middle name is our grandmother's first name.

Date: 2007-11-09 03:37 am (UTC)Taylor Michelle
Melissa Renae
No real theme here, but I think that's because both my mom's family (Gerri, Terrance, or Terry, and Sherri) and my dad's family (Jeannine, John, Jennifer, Jeremy, etc.) kind of abused the system.

Date: 2007-11-12 06:53 pm (UTC)Kate Alison (me, '81)
Tina Dawn ('94)
No real theme... My dad told me that my older sister is named after the musicain Janis Ian, and Margaret is my father's mother's name (deceased). I don't think think I'm named after anyone, but my mother's mother was apparently upset that my middle name wasn't "Lorraine" (her name), since Janice's middle name was my other grandmother's. Makes sence to me: Margaret is dead...
Tina is a half sister by my mom, and Janice (15) and I (13) got to help with the name choosing. She's Tina because Mom wanted "Christina" with a nick name of Tina and I said "Well, if you're going to call her Tina, you should just name her Tina" (note: My name is Kate. Just Kate, not short for anything...) Dawn is her middle name because we decided that it would make her name mean "Little Light." I know that's not what you would get if you looked it up in a baby name book, but that's what we decided her name means.
