I like it. It reminds me of Gone With The Wind (which has amazing names), obviously.

Is that where Rhett Butler is from? When i saw this post i'm like. "Like rhett butler?" Then i'm like. "Wtf what is Rhett Butler from???"

Yep, I agree Rhett Butler is a fairly sexy man! I am not sure how I feel about Rhett on a girl. (But I am assuming it was for a boy!)

I think it sounds hickish and would suit a beer bellied, wife beater and mullet wearing type of guy.

I was thinking, initially, a boy.

But I am one of those GOD AWFUL people who likes boys names on girls. It could work either way.

I like it, but for males only. I had a friend in HS who's mother had the name. It just seemed very out of place.

I love the literary connotation, but HATE the name. It sounds hickish and creepy. Not to mention the one Rhett I knew was straight creepy, so I'm biased too.

see, we named our daughter scarlett and i wanted to go with scarlet, so it would be a little different but my parner said no....scarlet is a color, not a name. now everyone thinks i'm a GWTW fanatic and that's not it at all.

oh, and i'm so stupid b/c i was suggesting katie scarlett and totally didn't realize that it popped into my head from the character. once i was reminded of that, katie was scratched and we started building around scarlett.

i love it but wouldn't use it since i have a little gal named scarlett.

My jerkish cousin and his wife want to name their first son Rhett. Therefore, I do not like the name. :/
