Date: 2007-11-05 04:24 am (UTC)Joelle - I like it, but I prefer Jocelyn. I like the nickname Joey.
Rae - Love it as a middle name, but not as a first name.
Adeline - It's okay, but I'm partial to Madeleine and it seems too close.
Adelaide (Addie) - It's okay, but I prefer Adeline.
Genevieve - Love it pronounced the French way; only like it pronounced the Anglicized way.
Marie - Okay, but kind of blah.
Anna - Love it. One of my favorites, too.
Ava - Too trendy.
Clara - Love it, but I prefer Clare.
Claire - I prefer Clare, but I love this spelling, too.
Grace - Love it:)
Kasha - It reminds me of Kashi, the food product, haha.
Abigail - Love it.
Ambria - Seems like a trendy/kr8yv version of Amber.
Devin - Don't like it. Seems very 1980s/1990s.
Maxwell (Max) - Love it:)
Trey - It's okay, but not a favorite.
Addison - I don't like it on either sex, but although I prefer it on boys, I think it's too trendy on girls. There would definitely be another Addison around, who would most likely be a girl. Or there would be 4 or 5 around, who would all be girls. Unfortunately.
Ray - It's okay, but not a favorite.
Benjamin - Love it.
Damen - I prefer Damien.
Oliver - Like it, but NMS.
Grandt - Grant, I like. With the d, not so much.
Howard (Howie) - Love Howard, don't like Howie.

Date: 2007-11-05 10:44 am (UTC)Joelle - Surprisingly, I like it. Not usually into J names.

Date: 2007-11-05 04:47 pm (UTC)Joelle - Kind of supermodelish. Which may not be a bad thing to some people.
Rae - I love it...as a nickname for Rachel (or, in fact, one of my guilty pleasures, Rayanne).
Adeline - I love it. I assume you can go with either a line or lin ending, and they both sound good, but I prefer the former.
Adelaide (Addie) - Very nice.
Genevieve - Love it.
Marie - I don't know what I'd think of this name if it weren't my middle name, but I love it. Much better than my first name.
Anna - Not bad, but always seems a little plain to me. Probably because I love Annabel so much.
Ava - Love it.
Clara - Eh...
Claire - Love it.
Grace - Love it.
Kasha - Reminds me of Kashi, that group that makes those health-nut cereals.
Abigail - Love it.
Ambria - Very interesting name I don't think I've ever really noticed before. Would you pronounce it with a long a in front, like Cambria without the c?
Devin - I like it, but prefer it spelled Devon, so it doesn't remind me of devil eggs.
Maxwell (Max) - Love it.
Trey - Not a favorite.
Addison - A favorite.
Ray - Maybe this has to do with a kid I went to school with, but this name seems really redneck to me.
Benjamin - One of my top male names.
Damen - Not bad, although I prefer Damien.
Oliver - It's started to grow on me, but not much.
Grandt - I don't mind Grant, but I'd half-expect someone named Grandt to be a real fatty.
Howard (Howie) - I guess I just always associate this name with the duck. Which is a bad thing.

Date: 2007-11-05 11:29 pm (UTC)I may be biased though, since my name is Kasia (pronounced the same). But it always gets misspelled as the former, so seeing it like that just feels wrong to me. And yes, I do get the "Kashi Cereal" thing quite often but it helps people remember my name and I don't mind it at all.
I love Audrey and Abigail from your girls list and Oliver from the boys. The rest aren't bad, just not my favorites.

Date: 2007-11-06 09:23 pm (UTC)Joelle - prefer Joel on a boy
Rae - nms in sound or how it looks on the page
Adeline - nice, but nms
Adelaide (Addie) - nice and I would probably like it more if I didn't know it was a place name too - not too keen on the nn, mind you.
Genevieve - like, pretty
Marie - ok, but considered pretty boring
Anna - ok
Ava - ok
Clara - nms
Claire - ok
Grace - really hate this name, and once again don't understand its popularity
Kasha - nms
Abigail - like
Ambria - nms, reminds me of "umbrella"
Devin - really nms
Maxwell (Max) - like just Max, but not Maxwell
Trey - really nms
Addison - at least you like it as a boys name
Ray - nms
Benjamin - love
Damen - nms
Oliver - love
Grandt - is this meant to be Grant? If so, it's a name I quite dislike, sorry.
Howard (Howie) - could maybe work as a middle name, but Howie is pretty awful I'm afraid.
