[identity profile] the-good-ship.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
On friday it was my Eighteenth birthday. Anyway, sometime on Saturday morning, I was drifting off to sleep, still a little bit tipsy from the evening's celebrations, which explains what I am about to write.

For some reason I started to think about names, and somehow I managed to come up with Ophelia Oyster for a girl, and Ogene for a boy.

Just thought it was funny remembering it.

Also, went to my Mum's friend's fiftieth on the Saturday, and there was a little boy called Judah there. It just sounded weird to me when people were calling to him. What does everybody else think of it?

Judah is actually kind of cute, but I wouldn't ever use it.

Ophelia Oyster... creative! Aha.

I have come across several Judahs. It seemed weird the first time, but now I'm used to it, and even fond of it. My problem was that for some reason, I was thinking Judas and was like, shit, dude. Nice mom.

I LOVE Judah. It would be on my list if I didn't love Jonah so much.

When I hear Judah, I think Judas. Then I imagine that kid's mom getting angry at him and shouting, "JUDAS!" and the kid just looking kind of aghast.
