Middle names
Nov. 3rd, 2007 05:41 pmI am not due until April, plus we aren't finding out the sex of the baby. So I don't have to worry about this for awhile, but I still wanted opinions.
My family really wants me to carry on the name Elizabeth as a middle name, it is mine and my mom's as well as my great-grandma and my grandma on the other side. I would like to use the name Lesley after my Uncle who passed away last April, right around the time this baby is due. Should I use both?
Part of me hopes it';s a boy so I won't have the dilemma. If it is a boy, I would like to use my Uncle's middle name, Alexander.

I, too, am involved in a chain of women with the same middle name, and I love it! My grandma is Betty Jean, my mother is Brenda Jean, my name is Heather Jean, and my current intention for my first daughter is Amelia Jean. :)

And Alexander is a great middle name.

Date: 2007-11-03 11:04 pm (UTC)I would use Elizabeth alone as the middle name for this girl, and then use Lesley as a middle name for either a boy or a girl for the next. :-) If you plan on having more, of course. No need to give away both of your special names to the first child.

Date: 2007-11-03 11:03 pm (UTC)What first name do you have picked out? What about Elizabeth Lesley as a first/middle combo?
I like Alexander a lot, both as a first and a middle, depending on the name you have picked to go with it.
