Interesting...
Oct. 29th, 2007 07:57 pmI've posted here once in the past with a list of names from the private daycare/preschool where I work. Four new students were enrolled today, here are there names [separated by sibset]:
Kiara (pronounced "key-ARE-uh", like Simba's daughter in 'The Lion King 2', I think?)
Carolina (pronounced "caro-LEE-nah")
They are of Spanish descent; both are girls.
JaShawn (pn "jha-shawn", nickname sounds like"shawnie"... but Mom spells it 'Shawni')
Jajuan (pn "jha-WAN", nickname sounds like "nawnie"... but Mom spells it 'Nani')
(Twin boys who are African American.)
What are your thoughts?

Date: 2007-10-30 11:10 am (UTC)The Italian (and original?) form of Kiara is Chiara, and I like that better. It's pronounced the same way.
