I was going through my yearbook and I came across a few unusual names (at least from my perspective). What do you think of the following?

Kyran - m
Simona - f
Chetley - f
Marty - m
Deidre - f

I like Marty, as a nickname for Martin, but the rest are...weird? Deidre is okay, I guess, but I'm not a fan of most names of that nature (Deidre, Desiree, Destiny, etc. Deidre is the best of all of them, though).

Kyran- Eh, I'm not sure if I like it. I don't entirely HATE it, though

Simona- I don't like Simmone, and this sounds a lot like that

Chetley- Isn't that the daughter who killed her father in Legally Blonde?

Marty- More of a nickname

Deidre- Reminds me of Deidre Hall...who I'm not a fan of.

I don't like any of those names. Simona would've been better spelled Simone (but I'm still not a fan).
Deidre always looks to me as if there's missing an 'r'.

Marty is unusual?

The only one I even remotely lie is Deidre. I'd never use it but it's nice.

The only one I like is Simona. Is Kyran pronounced like Keiran?

Kiran is a really pretty Asian name, so perhaps Kyran is a variation of that. Oh, I've just seen that it's a male name; Kiran is definitely a girls' name.

I always think of Deidre as an old ladies' name, but Deidra is becoming popular again.
