Ok, it's official if we have a girl her name will be Lyric Marie.
Glad we have that much figured out.lol
I know I have a while to go until the baby is here but the man is gonna drive me crazy with this whole picking a name.
Now he likes Keith Allen more than Matthew Allen but when I mentioned the name before he didn't like it.*pulls out some hair*LOL

Thank u.it was suggested to us by a friend because of our love for music.i also think it will be a more personal link to daddy because of his love for singing karoake which he/she will learn here in the next couple months b/c we're going to make some cd's of him singing his favorites. :) our baby will be born loving 80's music since he mainly sings Journey and old Bon Jovi stuff.

haha...don't worry...every couple has that issue in naming their child...it took my husband and i about 8months before we could agree on a first name for our daughter and then another 3 weeks before we got her middle name

luckily this boy has been a little bit easier since it's only taken us about 2 months from the day we found out we were having a boy but it was still annoying

i have always wanted my first son named after my best friend(Christopher) but since we're leaning more towards using his last name; Cristobal.
but i willingly let that one go since it would sound funny.

hehe...i wanted Thomas James (2 really hot guys from high school) for my son and Anna Mae for my daughter...Thomas is too common and he didn't like Anna Mae at all :(

not really worried.i know it takes time and the man has already been warned that if i go into labor and no name is agreed on that his name will be Joshua David (childhood friend whos passed) Allen (cuz we both agree on that).

one of my friends wasn't named until about a week after he was born so it's not crucial to have a name before he's born...sometimes couples keep 2 or 3 names in mind and then decide when they see the baby because they go by what he/she looks like

A week?wow..too bad u don't generally stay in the hospital that long.If all goes well the hospital I'm having the baby at sometimes sends u home within 24 hrs.
we'll probably end up with 2 boy names since we can't really pick one and then decide.As long as we have 2 names agreed on I won't be forced to choose the name myself.lol

i hear ya...the only name my husband and i could really agree on was Lucas Alexander - yet again the husband has named the baby :( i wanna name one all by myself damnit!!! ok...anyways...i don't know what we're gonna do if we have another kid after this because Jaeda Victoria was the only girl name we could agree on (that's our daughter) and it took us like 8 months to agree on that and Lucas Alexander is the only boy name we both like

I know he'll still stick with James though and I won't be able to give in for that unless I get my name if we were to have another.I say if we have a 2nd I get that one and he can name the 3rd so i'm sure i get my turn.lol

I love how unique there names are :)
It's what we're trying for, at least with the first name, cuz Marie is my best friends middle name.
We can't seem to figure something out for a boy though that would be more unique and not used much.

thank u so much.I'm so glad everyone here seems to like it, no did in another one of my communities Im in.
At first he didn't know and wanted to go with our other choice *Dakota Marie Lynne* but once I explained to him again how it was that one of our friends and I came up with the name he chose to stick w/ Lyric :)
Says that if we had another girl later that we'd name her Dakota..which personally shocked the hell outta me since we're not even together right now...but no complaints. :)

I told the SO that if we have a boy and we haven't decided on a name by the time I go into labor that his name WILL BE Joshua David after a good friend who's passed away and that we'll stick Allen on there too so that we're still using the middle name we did agree on.lol
We have plenty of time but I would just like to be able to have a name to call our baby as soon as we know what sex the baby is.Right now we call the baby our lil Jellybean :)
