[identity profile] polly-purebred.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
I found out yesterday that I'm having a boy! So I felt the need to post yet another name survey. Thanks in advance to anyone who has the time/inclination to click the little buttons!

VOTE on my Name List

By the way, the middle names are all family names and are interchangeable. I'm more concerned about the first names.

One of them is my guilty pleasure name that I wouldn't actually use. I'll let you figure out which one it is. =)

Congratulations!

Was the guilty pleasure Seamus Finnegan?

Congratulations! =D
I love most of your names. Seamus Finnegan is particularly strong, IMO, but I'm afraid a lot of people will mispronounce it. Is it your guilty pleasure name, by any chance? ;)
I love Eli too, but I'm not so fond of 'Markey'. I know it's a family name like you said, but how about Mark? =)

I really like the first names overall, with the exception of Casey and Avery (too common for girls).
For middle names, Markey sounds like a pet name for Mark. I understand the family name value, but I'd go with Mark :P I also dislike Finnegan, but the other middle names are fine

For combos, I really like Joshua David, Ezra James and Adrian David!

That's relieving, because if I was wrong, I didn't want to come off as offensive!

but I'm afraid a lot of people will mispronounce it.

Seriously? I...I definitely don't see that happening. Maybe little five-year-olds would, but they learn, and adults recognize the name Seamus.

I do not understand Ezra's popularity, but oh well. Not a fan of Joshua at all either.

Eli is a terrific name. I thought Markey wouldn't bother me because I knew a guy named Ivan Markey, but then I realized that Ivan's strength balances it out. Eli...doesn't really balance it, especially with Markey as a middle name. Also, when someone says the full name, to get from the "ee" of Markey to the "stye" of Stine, the mouth gets kind of awkward. In short, Markey as a middle name is a nay for me :/

Casey is underrated. I voted against it but I sort of want to take it back.
So my favorites are Casey James, Gabriel James, and Adrian David.

My favourite first names are Eli, Gabriel, Casey, Avery and Adrian. So..almost all of them.
I think Casey James is my favourite combo.
Gabriel James is good too.

Congrats :)
Those are some great choices; I especially like Ezra, Casey and Adrian.

Seamus Finnegan is awesome, as a name and person*. Not sure it quite works with Stine, but otherwise I love it (have both names seperatly on my list).

*Belfast born playwright, and my favourite lecture. :)
He did say we'd get extra credit for spelling/saying his name right, but can't recall anyone having trouble with it.

I am so glad that Ezra is not the GP name! It is my fave on you list :)

I love Joshua, Ezra, Seamus, Gabriel, and Adrian. Gabriel seems to be a more common name then before but I don't think you could go wrong with any of them, personally.

Not really. I'd never seen the name Seamus spelled out before, and while I was reading Harry Potter, in my head I kept saying See-mus. :-)

Yeah really! I didn't know it was supposed to be pronounced like Shay-mus until I heard someone say it out loud once. I don't think it's a very common name, which is why I'm afraid people will mispronounce it.
