One of the guys at work and his wife had a son. They named them Jaxon. Their last name ends with son. I think someone watched a little too much General Hospital. I hate kr8tive names.

*Edit* Just remembered the middle name. It's Nickols.

Jaxon will always remind me of Jaxon DeVille, the Jacksonville Jaguar's mascot. People spell Jackson that way here too and I don't understand why. First of all, don't name your kid Jackson in JACKSONVILLE, but especially don't spell it like the mascot.

OK. I live in Gainesville. I'm gonna go and name my kid Gaines, but spell it Gaynzzzzzzzzzxcs. Just to show what a dumbass I am. Because I can't even spell the name of the city I live in. At least, that's what it'll look like to everyone else.

Actually I don't think Jaxon is one of those 'kr8tive' names. I grew up in the middle of nowhere in Australia, and I knew two Jaxons (spelt with the 'x'). I was born in 1984, so not too long ago. When I moved to the city, I became friends with a girl whose brother is called Jaxon, named after his Grandfather.

I wondered if maybe back in the day people thought "Well Saxon is a nice name, so what about Jaxon?"..
