I have a problem

A long time ago i read David Eddings' Belgariad series and fell in love with the name Garion for a boy. I told my husband that we should name our first boy that. My problem is that now we are trying to get pregnant and i no longer like the name. :/ He is still in love with it and is really upset with me for changing my mind. What do you guys think of the name? Can you think of a good, normal name to use as a middle name with it? Thanks.

Middle name suggestions: Avery, Christopher, Tyler, Elijah, Clark, Cole, Brent, Shane.
It's not really my style, but a nice name.

Hmm it might grow on you again, I flit between names all the time.

You could always use it as a mn, that would be a good compromise.

Never heard it before, but Garion is a pretty cool name.

I like it...it's original but not too ot there. He'll probably be called Gary when he's older...

I like it a lot! It's rare without sounding recently invented, and lends itself to a mainstream nickname if he chooses to use it.

Maybe you'll have a little Ce'Nedra instead. ; )

Imagine having to spell *that* your whole life.

I love those books myself. *geek power!* But as for the name, you shouldn't use it if you're no longer comfortable, and I'm sure your husband will get over it. You guys will find another name together that you BOTH love.

I've never heard that name before, and I can't say I like it.

I could go on and on... :)

How about using Garion as the middle name so your husband is also happy? I know a couple who has a son named Daniel Grant and his father calls him Grant while the most calls him by his first name.

I think Garion is a nice name but I'm not too fond of the nickname "Gari".

It's kind of cute.

Garion Thomas
Garion Alexander
Garion Matthew
Garion Nicholas
Garion Louis
Garion Samuel
Garion James
Garion Dominic
Garion Luke

I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE!!!!!

Oh lord I love that name. I keep trying to convince my husband of it, (I'm putting the spin of it's a mix of our fathers' names: Gary and Darwin) but I dont' know if he's biting.

I think a one-syllable name would be a good middle name.
