Melody isn't really my style, but I do think it's really pretty. What about Melanie Alexandra? Still has the same sound/feel to it, but Melanie is a little more sophisticated/grown up sounding than Melody with the same nickname possibilities.

Oh, and I have always loved the name Melody. I had a childhood friend named Melody, and it's just stuck with me. I'm not big on Alexandra, though.

It's my mom's friends name and she was born in the 80's and like loves Poison and does her hair really big all the time and she always talks about her high school days...haha.

Oh no, I wasn't offended at all! Just curious. :-) I'm an 80's child, and rarely heard of other people with my name. So I like hearing it reminds someone of the 80's.
