The other night I was babysitting and I came upon a birth announcement for their neighbors new baby boy. his name is Carter.

I asked my FI later that night how he felt about the name and he said he liked it.

Now im looking for your thoughts and opinions as well as middle name suggestions.

Is it too close to my other fav boy name Cole?

I really like it, but my DH isn't too fond of it. He thinks it sounds too much like a "last" name. I really love Cole though.

I love both Carter and Cole :) I've always liked Carter since watching ER before it got new casts and the guy who played Carter quit. :(

FI = Fiance DD - Dear Daughter and DH Dear Husband... I think.. they all kinda confuse me too.. im not sure why you have to put Dear in front of it.. :)

DH = Dear Husband, Darling Husband (DP = Dear Partner, Darling Partner - DS = Dear Son, Darling Son - DW = Dear Wife, Darling Wife - SO = Significant Other)

Carter is a gorgeous name! Cole is nice, too. One of my cousin's little boys is named James Cole (his twin brother is Connor Patrick.) I like Cole and Carter as sibling names, but not in the same name.

I'm a sucker for those "last names first" like Cooper, Connor, Carter, Carson, etc. I wouldn't use ALL of them, but Carter is a nice name, IMO. (Cole is a major family name with me so I'm actually tired of it, but it's nice to know someone else is using it)
