What do you think of the name Olesya?

I was skimming around on ONTD, and noticed one of the actresses with this name. I searched for it a bit online, but have only come up with tiny bits of information. It's other form can be Olesia, and they're both pronounced oh-lees-yah (or that's what I've been told). I think it's kind of cute, and unique.

Does anyone have any information on the name?
I hear it might be Russian? Or Polish?
Any good middle name suggestions?

Sorry, it reminds me immediately of Olestra (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olestra) - the fat substitute that makes people skid-mark their pants...

How do you even know that? Wait...nevermind =P

Anyway...According to babynamesworld.com (http://www.babynamesworld.com/meaning_of_Olesia.html) it's Greek/Albanian =) As for middle names, I'd go with a one syllable name, or a two syllable name with the emphasis on the second syllable (like Marie, Joanne etc.)

I worked with a girl named Olesya (who looks EXACTLY like the girl ONTD is talking about, but the ages are off) she was from Russia. If I remember correctly, she pronounced it Oh-less-ee-ah

Olesya is a common name in Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus. Sometimes it's spelled as Alesya, short version of the name is Lesya or "Lacy"
