What do you think of Tucker, nickname Tuck on a boy?

I've always liked the name Huck, but I'm not sure that it could be used without getting the inevitable, "Your mom likes Mark Twain, doesn't she?" (which, by the way, couldn't be farther from the truth).  I like Tuck slightly less, but I still do really like it, and I think Tucker could work well on an adult.  I'd probably use it with the middle name Atticus.

I've never thought about it, but I really like it!!! First I think of There's Something About Mary, with the guy named Tucker, but I think it's cute, but at the same time manly. Very nice!!

I dislike it for the fact that it rhymes with the F-word.

It is my sister's married surname so I dislike it for a first name.
And I agree with the above poster, Tucker>Fucker is just too easy. :\

I actually like it, which surprises me. I'd never use it, though, for the curse word connotation.

I've never really liked it. Especially the fact that it rhymes with the f-word.

The only Tucker I know uses it as a nickname for Thomas, which I think makes sense.

You could always make Huck a nickname for something: Hugh, Henry, Harry, Harrison, Harvey...

I wouldn't let the association with the letter 'F' deter you either. It might be derrogative but it could actually be pretty funny too as he got older. I swear, if I had been a guy my last name would have been PERFECT for a fraternity - Wildman. You don't even have to try for that. =P

The first thing that came to my mind was the show Flash Forward (http://imdb.com/title/tt0115173/). The main characters are named Tucker James and Becca Fisher. It's not a negative connotation at all, I actually really loved that show. I'm also probably the only person in the world who remembers it. I really like that name, though. I might even add it to my extremely long list of favorite names. =)

Haha. I'm surprised! Most people I've tried to talk to about it don't remember it. My sister and I spent almost an entire summer doing nothing but watching that show, The Torkelsons, and it's spin-off Almost Home. I miss those shows so much.

I so expected to be the only one. Haha. I'm so shocked people remember that show aside from me!

There was a Mrs. Tucker where I went to high school. She got not only the F-word, but also Mrs. Touch-her.

No way I'd use it on a kid.

I love the name Tucker. But I'm terrified to use it and have my kid called Fucker his entire life.

My grandpa's name was Harold and he often went by Huck. It's a wonderful association thing for me. :) He also got "Hucka" quite a bit.
