McKinley Christi?

The middle name is final because my baby's father picked it out for his half.
His name is Christopher & his older sister is Christi.

So mainly thoughts on McKinley?

there are a lot of mckennas, mckenzies, makaylas, etc lately. mckinley sounds like another part of the trend.

Terrible. I'm sorry, it just is. Besides, wasn't it the name of a president who got assassinated? I'm not even American, and I know that, so it must be pretty common knowledge. It doesn't strike me as that great of a namesake for a daughter, you know? Not to mention the Makayla/Mackenzie/McKinley/Mackenna/Mackwhatever trend. They're surnames. Not cute names for girls. That's my opinion.

Let me just say I love surnames as names...but McKinley was a VERY LARGE man and is also a mountain...god help your daughter if she has issues with her weight. Children can be demons about making fun of each other.

I used to really like it (spelled Mikinly) but I got sick of it really quick, I think because there are so many variations of that name that are really popular right now, like the person above me said. But if you really like the name I wouldn't let that deter you. =]

Not fond of surnames as first names, especially masculine-sounding ones. And Christi strikes me as a nickname for Christina or Kristen.. not an actual name.

It looks like you're missing a comma between the two names.

McKinley is a surname and just plain awful on girls. Christi looks incomplete.

What about Christa [Middle Name]?

McKinley is a little too last namey for me. I like Kinley.

It's nice overall.

Honestly, it seems painfully trendy (in a flash-in-the-pan sort of way), along the lines of what others have mentioned: the Mc--- or Mac--- thing for girls, which I personally find really, really nauseating.

I like McKinley.

Who cares if it is a trend? If you like it, I'd go with it. It's cute and I like 'Mc' names on girls.

I don't tend to like names that have capitals in them, like MaKayla, BreeAnna...I just don't get it.

And while the Mc names are supposed to have capitals after them [I'm a McDonald and I get verrry tired of people miss spelling my last name]...it really does look like a last name to me.

You might get some cute nicknames out of it though.

Mackenzie is an established ex-last name turned into a first name, but McKinley just sounds like a last name!

"Mc" means "son of". I think that's a terrible thing to do to a girl.

I'd name her Michaela Christine.

I really don't like it, sorry. It just doesn't look like a real name.

Yeah, agreed. Plus the two capitalized letters will get real old for (I'm assuming her?) really fast. I really recommend you keep looking, it's just not a good combo. McKinley is just one of those names that doesn't cross over from surname to first name well AT ALL.

I REALLY don't like it one bit.
Sorry, but I would use any other Mc name before i used McKinley.
Makenna is much better if you really have to use a mc name.

As in the old president??

I think it works well if your child is born a musty old man with a handlebar mustache ;)
