Oct. 9th, 2007 05:54 pmI have a new teacher, and today we were talking about her first name... it's just plain Annie. Her parents thought she was going to be a boy, and when she was born, it was like, SUPRISE! and they couldn't decide on a name together -- her mom wanted Ann, her father wanted Anna. So they came up with Annie.
WDYT? I personally hate names that are usually considered nicknames (like Charlie for Charles, Maddie for Madeline, etc), but Annie is growing on me. I think it fits her personality really well. She's exactly what I would imagine an Annie to be.
ETA: Irony... she was born on the same day and year the movie "Annie" came out, which I think influenced her parent's decision. It's pretty funny that her hair has a reddish tint to it, too.
