WDYT of Daphne?

How 'bout Bessie?

Bessie's cute but it reminds me of a cow.
And I kinda like Daphne.

I like Daphne because you don't see it much around and it's a very stylish, classical name.

Bessie is one of my favorite nicknames for Elizabeth, if it only weren't that 'besj' (prn. besh) means 'poo' in norwegian :/
I know, I shouldn't make these many associations!! lol

My great grandmother was a born Bessie Norma Sicard and she absolutely hated it. She started going by Norma as soon as she possibly could. She graduated from high school with 'B. Norma Sicard' on her diploma By the time she died she had completely rid her self of it and was buried as 'Norma Varney.'

Personally, I always saw it as an animal name. I wanted to name a puppy Bessie but my mom said it would be an insult to her grandmother, lol.

I like Daphne, but Bessie needs to be a nickname for something, I think. Elisabeth?

Daphne is one of my favorites. It's a chart climber though. I've seen it go up a lot in the last few years.

Don't like Daphne. Reminds me of this really annoying chick in high school. And it sounds like "daffy" which could be a potential and very bad nickname.

Bessie does sound like a cow.
