that's a bunch of ladies from the 50's (my mom and some friends' moms). Are they even heard of anymore?

My kindergarten best friend's mom was named Carol...at the time I'd never heard it before and I thought it was the prettiest name EVER. I was five at the time, though, haha. When I think about it now I still think it's pretty but too associated with...women of that age...heh

I have a classmate named Robin (I'm in college)... it's a pretty name, and it suits her.

Janis makes me think of Janis Joplin, whether I want it to or not.

For some reason, 'Carol' spelled that way looked incomplete to me at first (even though that is the feminine way to spell it) -- probably because my ex's dad's name is Carroll.

I love how Janis reminds me of Janis Joplin, so I kinda like that name =)
I like Robin for girls, too. I hear it every now and then, more frequently on boys though.
I'm not a fan of Carol. The 'Dutch' (I don't think it's really Dutch =P) version of Carol is Carola...I don't like that either.

There were two Robins at my elementary school. I never liked that name.

I don't know anyone younger with the first name Carol, but one of my friends has that middle name.

I don't think I've ever seen a Janis outside of Joplin, but there was a Janice in my kindergarten class. Janice is one of my favorite names, probably because one of my favorite authors is Janice Galloway.

Janice is a better spelling I think, Janis reminds me of Janis Joplin. It sounds dated along with Carol. I like Robin though.
