Blair.

For a girl.

WDYT?

What about Blaire, Blayre, etc.?

(No, I'm not having babies. I just want to know what you think of the name)

I sincerely doubt she is old enough to have watched that show, but yes, Blaire was the obnoxious materialistic one. Ahhh, good times. This make the name too 80's for me, though.

I don't like the Y myself. Too "Unique".

Good Times

Ha! But I am! "You take the good you take the bad you take it all and there you have the facts of life, the facts of life!"

I cannot judge the name Blair fairly due to this show. I perfer Claire x1000 anyway.

They need to STILL show it on Nick at Night. I loved that show.

Blayre looks like a made up word, not a name.

I like Blair.

I don't particularly like it, but it could be worse. I like it on a girl, and I really only like the spelling of Blaire. The others seem like they're trying to be "different" when the name isn't really that used to begin with. Plus, Blayre seems like a really...trendy version of the name. It's a spelling that I'd have a hard time taking seriously on an adult.

I immediately think of the character from The Facts of Life.

It is not at all my style...but for some reason, I like it. It has always struck me as strange that I like that name.

Change the spelling and it could work for a girl. Maybe Blaire.

I like it, but it's not really my style so I'd probably never use it

It looks so wrong to me because my name is Claire...so I really don't like it.

As with Claire, I'd prefer it spelled Blaire, it seems more complete.

And I hate hate hate Clayre/Blayre.

Klayre anyone? I met a girl with this name once. Horrid.

I hate this name because I knew a complete bitch named Blair. I hated her so much I even butchered her yearbook picture in my yearbook.

I've always liked Blair (Only spelled that way) on a girl better. It may be because of One Life To Live though :P

I thought it was crazy as a girl's name until I read 'Less than zero' by Brett Easton Ellis. Now I don't mind it as much, but it does remind me of a spoiled girl ;)

I'm having serious deja vue [sp] from reading this thread.
But I don't like the name at all!

It makes me think of either a boy or the girl from Sisterhood of the travelling pants/Accepted.
I do like it though, just not with a y. That seems a little tacky to me.
