I am only 10 wks but we're really into talking about names since we can't seem to really agree on one for a boy.As of right now we don't want to know the sex of the baby either so are trying to be prepared.
For a girl we are thinking either:
Dakota Marie Lynne or
Lyric Marie-winner so far w/ everyone :)
Marie is my best friends middle name so we're set on that 100%.Her daughter has my middle name also..actually I named her daughter :)
For a boy we can't seem to agree at all.He likes James Allen*so he can have the same nickname as his dad, Jimmy.Dads name is Jim though.*
Though I like the name Joshua David-after a very close friend I grew up with who passed away a few years ago.I have also brought up Timothy Allen, or Gabriel Allen.
Either way we are using Allen...anyone have any other ideas for a boys name that goes well with Allen.The middle name has special meaning to us because of the owner of the place we met.

My father was Alan James (French family name) (last name) and we used Alan as my son's middle name. I have a nephew Allen which is a last name here - he gets a lot of comments from people asking whether his mother could spell (she couldn't and wishes she had used Alan or Allan).

I thought about Allen James but I'm trying to stay away from using James at all.Don't really care for the name...he just likes it b/c they could have the same nickname.It's cute but no.lol
As for the spelling of Allen, we're spelling it the way or friend does since its kinda special to us.

We considered Seumas when we were expecting Lachlan, but decided against it as our first was called Seoras (after my husband's grandfather) and the names are too similar.

The father and nephew in question were/are Scottish. As is my Mum and my husband. I grew up in New Zealand though and now live in England.

Christopher Allen is my best friend...believe me, I would love to have that be my lil boys name but we're leaning towards him/her having daddys last name which is Cristobal so Christopher doesn't go. :(
Zachary Allen is great too, but not into using my lil bros first name.lol

I will for sure run Joshua Davif Allen past the SO though...we both win that way.U gave me a lot of ideas...gonna print it out and talk with the man.

Lyric is such a pretty name. I like James, but I think it's nicer on its own without a nickname- maybe that would be a way for him to be a little different from the dad.

Tim Allen reminds me of the character on Home Improvement!

We both love music so when our friend suggested Lyric we both fell in love with it.She definitly would be the only one in school.

I'm stubborn and won't drop the David part...Josh was a very special person to me and I won't shorten the name, only add to it.:)
