What's the weirdest thing you've ever named, and what did you name it?

Some people name cars, body parts, cellphones, so I'm interested to hear what people have come up with.


Me? I recently was diagnosed with a gallstone. I named it Schneevus (there's a town I pass in NY state that has similar name that always makes me laugh) I think calling Schneevus has helped keep me more upbeat about it, because I can laugh with people when I say "ow, wee Schneevus is acting up!"

Haha. My iPod is Wes Mantooth. (It even says it when I plug it into my computer.) My first car was Dane, my second was the Short Bus (It was a yellow four-door hatchback), and this one is Vegas. I've never given a lot of thought to naming my boobs, but if I did, I imagine they would be named after classic pin-up girls. =]

When my fiance and I lived in an apartment a pigeon laid eggs on our balcony.
We named the baby pigeons Brian Orser and Brian Boitano.

My fiance bought me a cartoony pig statue, whose head bobs from side to side if you put it under light. I named him Percival Glump.

Then there's funny names we just make up. Our best friend (who is at our house every day) says "MERG!" if something upsets him. Then we started to refer to annoying things as "Merg-worthy" then we invented Mr Godfrey Mergworthy and his valet Heddonface Marmalade (mar-ma-LAHD).

I once went through a phase where I was naming everything. My favorite shoes were Tim and Jim, the different sides of the doorknob on my bedroom door were Joe and Moe, I had a favorite jacket named Bob, and my pillow was Doug. Oh, and my watch was Paul, after Paul McCartney. There are tons more of these names that I can't recall.

I named my breasts Merry and Pippin because of a Lord of the Rings shirt I used to wear all the time.

My old laptop was Alfred. My new one is Gabriel. My iPod is Clarence.

I haven't named my car because I don't like it very much, and I can't think of a suitable name for an unloved, mediocre red '98 Ford Contour with little dings all over it and a leaky trunk.

my laptop is Matty Schwimmy-Schwimmster and my friend's is Emma-Delilah Rosita RPM Gonzalez (huge Friends fans here, in case you can't tell).
a stuffed duck my friend and i share is called Goosie (haha, gotcha there).
my friends and i named a frog Richard Sircloya Thatcher once.
a balloon i stole not long ago is called Bob, because it bobs around. :D

My iPod. I named it Nancy, after Nancy Pelosi. When my brother started making fun of me, I told him that he had offended it and he had to call it "Madam Speaker," which he does. I also named my '93 Ford Taurus "Eleanor," after Eleanor Roosevelt. Which also happens to be my #2 name for a daughter.

I named my iPod Maxwell Smart and my Wii is 99. I decided to name my iPod Maxwell because it was the first name that popped into my head. Then my boyfriend said it should be Maxwell Smart. Then when I got my Wii, how could I NOT name it 99?

I am a namer. Seriously, my friends used to make fun of me for how much I named things. My car is Puddle Jumper Hewlett (PJ for short), my iPod is Herschel. My laptop is Harvey (the White Rabbit). I named "my" car Clarice (so when I'd see it I'd say, "Well hello Clarice"). I ended up changing the name to Oscar because I also call it the Green Monster. My sister named the same car Jorge Jerome Fiddlesticks.

My right boob is named Bekah and my left boob is Willie. Why? Because my best friend is named Bekah and I call her my big boob (Boob is a common nickname for both of us) and my cat, Willie, is my little boob.

I really should start naming some random stuff. I did name this doll my mom gave me when I was 16, Zoe. (I love dolls and frequent the toy aisle at stores because of it)

I know this is insane and kinda gross...but my husband is like, allergic to everything, and his nose runs constantly. And also over a foot taller then me...so I name his boogers. HE HATES IT. Usually they are Hairy or Leonard. I've named his body parts, but that's just not appropriate to post ;) I also named my desktop Belou, because of the blue LED lights, and a laptop named Sid, (or POS, when it's not cooperating). I know, I'm not normal.

This is really lame, but when I was 8 or so I had this balloon and I drew a baby on it with a sharpie. I named it Trevor. So the balloon eventually deflates. I had a pencil holder in the shape of a oh God, what are the Egyptian coffins called? Ok well I had this metal pencil holder and I put the poor deflated balloon in there.
So I moved back in with my parents a couple months ago and found it in a drawer in my room. Honestly, who does that?

My first car was Cletus McShamus and my current car is The Commodore, my first and second computers were Floyd and Floyd II, and my laptop is Henry. My TV is Morton, my cell phone is Severus (as in Severus Snape), and my MP3 player is Aberforth (as in Aberforth Dumbledore).
