Paisley as a middle name -- y/n?

Piper Paisley -- too out there?

Yeah, a little too much alliteration, IMO.

I like it, but it's a little too much alliteration in my opinion. Plus, I think there are much better options for Piper.

With Piper Paisley, what I picture is an Irish version of Heidi..

Paisley's a print, not a name, at least in my world. Research into history may prove otherwise. That aside, too much alliteration makes for cutesy.

It's a personal thing, of course, but I don't like cutesy. I also don't like place names, so it being a town in Scotland doesn't help me to like (again, personal thing, this is your child, all the various disclaimers one must make when presenting an opinion).

Cutesy's great for a child, but ridiculous for an adult.

She'd be P. P. [insert last name]. Urm.

Not often, but if I was 6, I would really would not want to be referred to as PP :)

perhaps Paisley as a middle name, just not w/ Piper. Too much PP/Cutesy.

I don't mind the double P. I think it's cute.

Honestly, I don't like either of the names, but regardless of that, there's too much alliteration. Also, as someone else mentioned, cutesy names are fine for little kids, but what about when she grows up? To me, Piper sounds kind of ridiculous on an adult, Piper Paisley even moreso. Anyway, that's just my two cents.

Paisley is seriously the most revolting print known to mankind. Why would you want to name your child after it?

I've heard Paisley used as a name before, and I liked it.
I personally don't think it sounds too "cutesy". It sounds just right.
I wouldn't have thought about using Paisley with Piper, but I love it now that you've mentioned it.

And I do like paisley print. Haha.

I like it- it's cute, but not in a girly way, which is good.

Erm...I think Paisley is a maybe. It's kinda pretty/cute.
But I'm sorry, I strongly dislike Piper.

I think of a pied piper wearing paisely, sorry. It just doesn't work in my opinion. Intials being PP doesn't help either. It doesn't matter if you aren't normally called by your first and middle name, once kids pick up on it, they usually will not let the kid live it down.

My mom almost gave me Paisley as my middle name, but she ended up going with Paige instead. ;) I like the name but I have to warn you, even with just the middle initial of "P" I got teased a lot. I can't imagine what horrible jokes the initials "P.P." would bring.

Other than that, except for being maybe a smidge too upbeat, I think it is cute.

I have a middle initial of P and have never been teased for it. My daughter's middle name is Paige, too :)

Personally it reminds me of a character on a kids TV show, but it you really like it, go for it. I like Piper Maria better or Paisley as the first name - Paisley Jane is really cute to me, with nn PJ!

Side note: My parents thought about naming me Argyle if I was a boy. (I know Paisley is not after the pattern in this case I just thought it was funny :)

when I was a little girl, I wrote a story for school and the protagonist was named exactly that, which is really coincidental. so you just brought back some really fun memories for me. I think it's a beautiful name, personally :]
